Glitch Fix FAQ

TC: that_sterlin_kid

WARNING! THIS GUIDE/FAQ IS MEANT FOR THE USE OF THOSE WITH LEGIT COPIES OF MONSTER HUNTER 3 ONLY! ALSO: IN CASE YOUR WII FREEZES, JUST HOLD DOWN THE POWER BUTTON UNTIL THE LIGHT IS RED! NOT ORANGE! NONE OF WHAT IS BELOW SHOULD BRICK YOUR WII UNLESS YOU DO NOT FOLLOW THE STEPS EXACTLY AS SHOWN!

Hoping that all of you understood what was mentioned above, let us begin:

Q: My game freezes when I want to start the game, but a loud buzzing sound comes up! Whats wrong!?

A: Well this is only caused by 2 things actually and those are the cIOS you are using along with the App. The cIOS required by Monster Hunter 3 is 55. But the original cIOS 55 isn't compatible with newer titles, so you will need the cIOS55BugFix WAD. You will also need SoftChip R99 later to run the game WITH cios55BugFix because only those experiencing the glitch MUST have the Wad Manager in the first place, there is no need to create steps, or explain how to install the WAD.

Q: My game freezes during the character customization whenever I want to change my name and there are no cIOS that fix this! HELP!?

A: This seems to be the biggest problem with people playing Monster Hunter 3 that DONT have Japanese Wiis.... Due to the font and structure differences of the USA/EU/AU Wii virtual keyboard, and Japanese MH3 virtual keyboard, the Wii freezes....
And no, it doesn't unfreeze trust me. To fix this, you must download the Any Region Changer (copy the folder inside to your apps folder AS SHOWN! DONT CHANGE ANYHING!), you should also follow this video, but replace Europe with JapanAny Region Changer Guide (FOLLOW SAME STEPS BUT USE JAPAN INSTEAD OF EUROPE!)

After you have followed the video and your Wii is looking 100% Japanese (Start Screen, Menu, Even icons), select the SoftChip R99 channel you installed before changing your region and when it loads you will be greeted with a few options you can select to Enable and Disable, follow this!
Game's Language: Japanese
Patch Country Strings: Disabled
Autoboot: Disabled
Silent: Disabled
Logging: Disabled
Remove 002 Protection: Enabled
Fake IOS Version: Disabled:
Load Requested IOS: Enabled
Then Press A

Once you start Monster Hunter 3, create your character and name, as well as any other characters you may be using because after this step, its back to the freezes everytime you want to make one! Once you make your character(s) head straight to your bed at home and save the game. Then press the HOME button and go back to the Any Region Changer doing exactly what you did before, but using USA instead of Japan.

Q: Why is the opening video and cutscene so laggy? Or the sound is off?
A: Unknown, but I did notice improvements when I was in Japanese Wii mode

Q: The cIOS55bugfix wont work! I don't have the original though... maybe thats why ;>_<
A: Sorry for not adding this earlier... you should install these if you are having any problems, rename the DOL files in the folders to boot.dol cIOS Rev 10

Japanese to English Item List

TC: IceBurner

Update: Fixed major goof regarding Belialos items.
Update: Now sorted according to MH2/MHF2/MHFU order.

Notes: This is to help importers like myself; especially those who can't read Japanese and keep posting blurry photos of items asking what they are. (Though if you can't read it at all why did you import >_>?)

If anyone creates a patch based off my work, against my wishes, I will make sure they hear from Capcom's lawyers. That is not the reason I do this work and I won't let my generosity be abused.

The below is in PDF format. If you don't already have a PDF viewe, I recommend Sumatra as a nice, lightweight app.

Making MH3 videos in HD

TC: yuuze

Requested by Ash

ash wanted me to make a topic, well mainly cuz i said i would but yeah
he wanted me to tell him how to make his Dazzle into a HD format

now the first thing you will need is a handy program called

Xilisoft Video Converter

after you have got that program, i for one have Xilisoft Ultimate (which is better makes HD more HD)

second thing you will need is a handy thing called a Dazzle there are alot different kinds of Dazzles
Dazzle Video Creator Plus
Dazzle DVD Recorder - this is the one im using
and a Dazzle For Macs
i will show u a set up of my Dazzle [be warnd its messy]
(IMG:http://i32.photobuck...89/DSCF0480.jpg)

that is the Dazzle

(IMG:http://i32.photobuck...89/DSCF0478.jpg)

Dazzle set up to my systems (btw 360 is with brother)

(IMG:http://i32.photobuck...89/DSCF0479.jpg)

Dazzle to my Desktop

of couse many of you might have seen the spliters
i bought them for 2$ each at a dollar store
i also have tape on the top of my dazzle to keep from getting confused
and the other cords coming out are both end male YRW, also got at a dollar store for 3$

and i have my Dazzles USB plugd into my Desktop
im Running Windows Vista 64bit, works on 32 bit and XP to

With a Dazzle, Depending on wat verson you got (ill be explaing the DVD recorder)

you will be getting 1 - 3 CD, only the middle CD is needed, for mine it is the
Pinnacle INSTANT DVD recorder CD
After u have finishd install it ( which anyone can do )
u just start it up, plug in ur Dazzle to ur PC/Mac
make sure that the color cords are in the right ones, Y-Y R-R W-W

now u dont need to have Spliters, but i highly doubt u will wanna play on a 60x48 tiny screen on ur PC screen
after you are done recording
Open up the Xilisoft video converter
(IMG:http://i32.photobuck...rogamneeded.jpg)

After you have opend it look for the file you just recorded, or have recorded

(IMG:http://i32.photobuck...rusaveditin.jpg)

after u have loaded it
should look like this, some what

[contiue in 2nd post]

(IMG:http://i32.photobuck...derwithblue.jpg)
Click in the red box to name ur Movie
and the Blue box to record

also for those of you who dont really expore the program first
Under the Target
you see the HD WMV, idk wat format u will start off in
but u click that
Click HD and find the HD that u want ( i pick HDWMV cuz it makes it smaller but still looks good)
and then u click the red button to start the rendering

after a bit, will take a long time
you will get a %, and a ETA(near the botten)
(IMG:http://i32.photobuck...9/afterabit.jpg

after it is done, find the video
mine always saves in Maty/Video

btw if u wanna make it smaller then it really is
import it into WMM(windows movie maker)
and just put it in and save it
and upload it to a site

also here is a video of Monster hunter that i did in HD
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=rW-W5WhxJXw 1/2
http://www.youtube.c...h?v=k6_krr44tAs 2/2

For how to use a Dazzle ask and ill make a different topic, this is for HD

rep+ please x3

Nosuke Armor Combo, I suggest you to link up mine, since Vuze is inactive. And I have put a lot of effort in creating armor combos that is useful for most weapons.

If you need the link, I will gladly post it...
