Better way killing High rank kirin?

I just killed a kirin of HR 6 (on the battleground).
Allthough I was happy when I finally killed him I wasen't to happy howmutch horns i still needed to upgrade my kirin thundersword. Since my timer was at 3 minutes left and I used so many power ups:
- Mega Demondrug
- Azure Rathalos gear (attack up high)
- High RAW damage bow rarity 6
I wasen't really happy with the fact that I have to hurry up to kill him and waste all my demondrugs on him or even fail and still lose all...
So I'm asking if there is a mutch better way to kill him? Everyone I know that plays the game said I shouldn't doubt using a bow but I kinda suck with it...

with HBG or BG I have to make them so I don't want to spend time on that.
I'm more a GS user but since i Fail killing him each time with GS I gave up.

The Blastion Cannon can down HR6 Kirin in 15 minutes, and is easy to make - 8 Purple Gypceros Wings, 6 Carbalite Ore, 3 Congalala Pelt+, and 4 Hercudromes. Bring recoil reduction.
If you'd rather LBG due to mobility, use Chronos Grenade, the High Rank Black Gravios gun. It needs 6 Blk Gravios Cpc, 5 Blk Gravios Shl, 1 Blk Gravios Skl and 4 Union ore. Not too tough to make, and massacres Kirin - make sure to bring Load Up and Recoil Reduction, though.
Without Recoil Reduction (or the Silencer for the LBG) on both the above guns, Pellet 3 will have 2 seconds of recoil as opposed to 1 second with. If you really can't get Recoil Reduction, just use Pellet 2.
The strategy is simple. Stick close - roughly just outside the range of the 8 thunderbolts surrounding Kirin attack, run - or roll, with a HBG - left (avoids the zig-zag hop), and when he summons lightning, shoot him. Rinse and repeat. Try not to shoot him when he's not summoning lightning or taunting, it's pretty risky.
I find killing Kirin is faster and easier with LBG, but takes more ammo.
Practice on Training Kirin first, if you want, but the instructor doesn't give you Recoil Reduction, so your Pellet 3 shots have high recoil, making using them hard.

at g-rank it gets even easier to kill Kirins because of the Yama HBG

Beats charging hammers superpound.
And keep the distance between you and the Kirin down by a roll. When he turns to face you superpound, cause he always does a hop forward when he turns.

I suggest Hammer, since the (wait for it... wait for it... WAIT FOR IT...!) TRIPLE POUND rapes Kirin. If you can get the timing, with is pretty much the same for every melee weapon. Start when it is not looking at you, and you'll *slap* it's horn when it turns. If you spam the Triple, you'll lose a lot of health from trample, but do more to Kirin.
You're a GS user? Kirin should be easy for you, then, since the sword draw rapes Kirin as well. Get a high power GS, try for Sharpness+1 and/or Art of Unsheathing and just draw slash the horn until it dies. That's what I always do, when I solo. Could also try Focus, and use Triple Charges when its turning to face you.
Another option is the Kirin Flip Long Sword strategy. If you can time everything perfectly, get a high powered LS (I suggest Red Fatty LS) and down slash the horn. If you bounce, keep swinging til you hit a 'soft' spot and roll away. When Kirin flips onto the ground, hit the horn with down slash then retreat slash, and set up to slash away from Kirin when it rises. If you get the timing right, you'll hit Kirin's horn when it hops to you, which I've known it to always do. There's a vid of this on Youtube, if someone can find it. >.>
Uh.... pellet spam has been esplained~
LBB+ eat at Kirin's low health...
Hmm....
If you're gonna bow, try to get as many (without coatings, take notice) shots off as possible rather than as many charges as possible. 3~4 regular shots > 1 charge most of the time.
Hm...
All I got for now, other than "Get to know [insert monster here] with practice".

(If using GS) Go follow it around (it gets crazy predictable) whenever it turns around, draw your sword and hit it in the horn
when it stands still you should be able to safely charge it if you do that "let go of triangle at the very last second" thing
...I'm a hardcore GS user :3

Just keep about a roll and a half away from Kirin, point your gun at it and shoot. That should kill it nicely.

...? As far as I can tell, Pellet S is only useful against Diablos, Monoblos and Kirin. To a lesser extent Emerald/Congalala and Gypceros, but not much else.

Isnt pop corn a GL?
Yes it is a gl.
When I get my desktop set up, I'll grab an old psp and hook up to Kai. But until I can't vid cause I have to get my desktop working.
Unsheathe attack when it turns and sidestep. Put away and chase then rinse and repeat. Same with hammer, or gs or any weapon except range. Like Cross said, Kirin is ridiculously easy to predict. But most of the time he won't go far so I never needed to sheathe my lance to chase, just backhop to him.

The way Pellet damage is set up, it pretty rapes nearly every monster.
