whats a good gunner set to use for alatreon, i want something that gives bombardier, status atk up, and a gun set that lets me use paralyze and sleep and if its possible maybe add recoil down +3 preferably or reload speed, bonus shot would be nice too

Your asking for the default alatreon sleep bombing set.

Blizzard Cannon/Jhen Cannon/Chaos Wing

Try full uragaan + with one piece of low uragaan. You should be able to gem in status attack up, and add points into having recoil +3

There's an armor combo library and gun combo library.

Anything with def above 200 is OK for event alatreon. Just don't stay too close (about 2 rolls away) you will be safe.

You can have a bit of recoil, since Ala doesn't move that quickly. And a little deviation, since your target is huge. If you want to sleep bomb, make sure you have both sleep lvl 1 and 2 (I normally start with lvl1). You can also just go for clust-2 bombing to break the wings.

I never made a sleep bombing set for ala with a gun. lol sleep lvl1. but i did make a set that will destroy his wings, claws, and possibly help with the horns. use this:

Aquamatic Longshot

Skull Mask
(damn, i forgot the name of the gunner ala armor...lol.)
Ala gunner chest
Ala gunner arms
Ala gunner waist
Ala gunner legs

Get a charm that gives Precision +10
uhm, i forget what it was for skills but it was something like....

Precision +1 (Obviously, this is needed otherwise you cant hit him from accross the map and you WILL miss alot)
Bonus Shot
Evade Inc

Then gem in reload +1.

That makes reload really nice, three shots of clust lvl1. uber evade skills. and the precision allows sniping his wings from a VERY far distance.

Dont worry about the -dragon defense. I used this set alot on him and never died except on a rare occasion or two. but one thing is certain....MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 150 HP. Meaning, drink a max pot. that way you can get hit at least once. otherwise it is a one hit kill.

With this set, you will destroy his wings. Bring the mats for as many clust lvl1 shots and stuff to make them as you can, then get other people to bring them for you too.

IIRC, you can hold 10, and carry mats to make 15 more shots. thats 25 shots per person. 25 x 3 = 75 shots coming out of that barrel per person. That is alot of bombs. You alone can break both wings, both claws. And help with the horn.

With a nice group you will have him down in less than 15 minutes.

I seem to recall my clust 2 set getting 10 mins.

thanks one, its been a while. i dont rememebr everything. ok so. 15 x 3 = 45 per person. with 4 people... 45 x 4 = 180 clust shots coming out of that barrel. and the time depends on your team. 2 hammer users and a LS user and you could crush 10 minutes with that gun and them.

Like I said in my last post, you should have used clust Lv2 instead. So you don't have to relying on other hunters to provide you with materials.

You can carry 5 clust lv2 and bring materials to make *FIFTY* more.

ok now that i found what i wanted for gunner armor, i need a gun combo suggestion, i want something that has 1 2 and 3 clust S, wyvernfire any level and slicing, any ideas?

Clust 2 is all that matters.

Rathling Gun+ barrel
Thundacrus Rex frame
Chaos Wing Stock

That is, ofcourse, if you have beaten Alatreon already.

Gives 1 clust 2, 4 para 2, 2 sleep 2, mucho everything else. Give it Load up and Recoil Down +2 and you will be firing off 55 clust 2 in under 10 minutes.

This is my clust lv2 gun:

Thundacrus/Rathling/Agnablaster with Load Up armor skill. This will let me load 4 shots of clust lv2 in one clip.

anyone have an idea as to how i can get load up and recoil on alat armor? or is there a talisman that gives both of these skills?or at least for one of them?

Replacing the Sageasse thingy for the Barrage Piercing will not only give you load up, but you will still have Bonus Shot, have evade dist at +13, Blight Res. at +9, and you wont have recovery down. Then, you simply gem in Recoil down
