Alright guys. I've been progressing in the offline missions in tri quite a bit, and it's been pretty decent in difficulty. I've beaten everything up to the Diablos and Uragaan, and I figure Agnaktor will be unlocked after that. Diablos and Ura are posing a pretty big threat to me. I tried blos a couple times, and somehow, I ran out of time, both times, and he was limping. I figure capturing him will be a way to beat him. Now for Uragaan, I tried him only once, and he was alright, I was getting used to his moves, and he's a little tough, but a lot easier than blos in my opinion, i'm just afraid of him having more health than Diablos. I've been running a Pellet Booster set which seems to do a good job in hunting. It's Heavy Bowgun Barrel, Royal Launcher Frame, and Poison Stinger stock. and using a mix of Jaggi/Baggi for PelletS Up, Tranquilizer, and Speed Setup. I'd pick up the Rathling Frame if it wasn't so hard to make. But I have a few questions:
Is there any better all purpose/Elemental shot guns I can pick up with decent clips yet?

and lastly.

I've been having a hard time getting ammo materials here, being an avid, well, used to be, player of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, many of the things to make bullets could be store bought, and I see a bunch of vids on youtube of people with so many mats for ammo, traps, bombs, ect. Do you really have to go into zones and farm now or is there an easier way? I mean come on, I needa farm stones and sap plants just to make Tranqs and Flash bombs? /sigh

Yeah, the farms have been nerfed as far as mining. You could plant Saps and they'll grow, I think. As for gunner stuff, I can't help you, except for this; Pellet Blos' tail. But I think you knew that. Could try experimenting with different frames to see which offers the most elemental.

Yeah I don't understand why they have to make just getting the materials to kill something so difficult. I don't see blademasters farming for anything lol. But yeah, I did, but when I checked the damage charts, Blos seems to take the most damage to the stomach now, which is weird, I guess they changed it because the tail was almost unaccessible to Blademasters. Who knows. Frames are what gives Elemental Shot potential?

Not sure, but I would think they would have the biggest effect on shells.

Update: Just finished Diablos in 23 minutes.

Diablos doesn't take massive damage from pellets in Tri.

For Uragaan, use Royal Launcher for water shots, and aim for his chin and down his body.

Use pierce vs Diablos.

I understand. I'm trying to make a set I made up. It's the Skull head, Lagi Chast and Arms, and Baggi Waist and Legs.
It gives PelletS Up and Elemental Attack Up if I figured right. Then for the gun. I'm making Royal Ludroth Frame/Barrel then Lagiacrus Stock. I just can't deal with getting a Lagiacrus plate offline, or a Lagiacrus tail. Wtf is up with Slicing shots, they don't do shit. o.o Any tips?

Don't try to slice a tail off alone with slicing shots, it wont work.

Or you could just use Cha-cha and hope he cuts tail off, or get a blade.

Ugh. But it would take even more time to put together a good blade/gear. Jeez. Why do they even make guns require something that only a Blademaster can really get alone? -.-

Well, it's not impossible to get a tail with a gun, you just need to bring maximum amount of slice shots, combines for more slice shots, then make sure to hit his tail with all of them, and prey that Cha-Cha can deal the rest of the damage to chop it off.
