I could use some advice on Nekohts' Rank 9 Quest 2 Black Gravios (forgot the name.).
Maybe its just me but I can handle pretty much any beast except that Damned Black Gravios.
I can usually capture/kill one of them, but then I get owned by the second one with a random punishing combo. ._.
I mainly use Greatswords, but I don't really mind branching out to other classes as long as they aren't ranged classes. :3 sorry guys
My equipment is:
Lacerator Blade
Tigrex Helm S
Tigrex Mail S
Tigrex Vambraces S
Tigrex Tasset S
Tigrex Greaves S
and I've decorated Health +30 on top of the usual skills, and I've unskilled/whatever Demonic Protecion.
I don't think its the equipment, but please give advice anyway.
Thanks guys.

Any HBG capable of shooting water shots at rarity 9 should do just fine though.
Armor Suggestions (Sorry I only know the Japanese for these)
Red Furufuru helm (yellow icon one for melee)
YanGarurugaS (For Gunners, blue icon color)
NarugaArmPieces(Yellow Icon ones not S for gunners)
Red Furu Waist piece (yellow icon color for gunners)
Naruga Legs (yellow icon once again for gunners)
Use jewels to boost dodge and earplugs and you will be one tough Mofo to take down. In fact, exactly 47 water rounds from Lao's gun will down one Gravimos Ashu and 43 pierce rounds at level 3 will down another one. So yeah...there you go....easy peezee. The entire run should take about 12 minutes total.

Too bad he's still on high rank and doesn't have access to everything you just mentioned.

And apparently, he can deal with a Black Grav. It's TWO Black Gravs he's having trouble with.

Armor skills are not that important but if you could any of these skills it would be helpful: Guard Inc, Gunnery King, Sharpness+1, Bomber.
Your inventory could be something like this:
Quote
- 2 Large Barrel-Bomb+
- 3 Large Barrel-Bomb
- 10 Knife Mackerel
- 10 Small Barrel-Bomb
- 5 Small Barrel-Bomb+
- 10 Large Barrel
- 10 Gunpowder (Or 20*)
- 10 Med Monster Bone (Optional*)
- 10 Ivy (Optional*)
- Book of Combo 1-4
- Alchemy Guide (Optional*)
- Power/Armor Charm/Talon (Optional)
- Potion, Cold Drink, etc.
*If you have Alchemy Guide.
Felyne Gunpowder will be helpful if you can get it. You can omit Knife Mackerel if you do.
And finally a tip:

I remember having a Hermitaur U mix-match that can make Guard Inc, Sharp Sword, Bomber set or something that you can get in high rank. I forget tho. :\

That Dark Akantor Set, Armor Stone it to as full as you can, and then just Peirce / Rapid (Charge level 3) one of them to death, if the other comes into the area, just run away, be sure to paint the one you're targeting, and then let either one move to a different area. (That is what I did...)
If that doesn't work, Bomb one of the Grav's to death, then pick the other one off slowly... or quickly if you know how.
(Just gotta watch out for the Black Smoke after some of the Beam attacks.

With a little help from all of you of course
I used my GS :3 and got myself 10 x Gunpowder, 10 x Large Barrel & 10 x Scatterfish. And a hell lot of potions
I just LBB+ed the first one, after that, I used my cat as bait, and when he bowed down to fire his beam, I move to his back and mashed at his tail. When the tail came off, I just mashed at his feet. couple of minutes later he was limping, first one captured :3 15 minutes gone.
I quess I got a little bit lucky with the second one, as it was a Gold Crown Mini one
A lttle advice for GS users his to use Charges on him. If hes not in Rage mode, you can use your cat to distract him and after firing a beam you usually can get a free lvl 3 Charge on him. Its the same for a hipcheck. Just walk around him, and before he turns to you can send lvl 3 Charge his way :3
yay. :3

do you bring/combine potion and honey to get another 10 megapotions?
bring also herbs and blue mushrooms.
and stay away from those fire farts! go for the wings to be safe if you're a sword user.
but really, range weapons pwns the big guys. you should learn to use them.
EDIT: well i guess you don't need anymore advice.
