Worth hanging on?

Basically I'm considering selling off my PSP as MH is the only game I actually enjoy on it and there are no other decent releases for the device. Ever. Also since I don't have a Wii and there are better chances of snowmen in hell than there are of Frontier coming to the west... Well, that means I can only ever play MH on the PSP. And I'll be kicking myself if the next MH comes out next year and I have to shell out for a new PSP just to enjoy the awesomeness!
TL;DR
Are there any plans or mention of a new PSP release? Any wiff of development? Or has it all been shifted to larger consoles?

Other PSP games that are good? I have some imports, like King's Field II, III and Shadow Tower....
PSOne Classics from the PSN store, like Final Fantasy Tactics and Legacy of Kain Blood Omen / Soul Reaver.
Castlevania Chronicals.... Silent Hill Shattered Memories.... Final Fantasy Crisis Core, God of War.
King's Field Additional I and II.....
I got a cheapy game from the PSN store called Super Stardust Portable and it's extremely fun and addicting.

Pretty awesome actually. The party's been going on for so long people are getting hitched in the bathroom. It's bring a bottle though, in case you were thinking it!
Also, will this version finally have infastructure mode? I know we get double team kitties but not having to muck about with Kai would be a plus.
And I know there are some good PSP games out there but I get bored of FF style RPGs too easily and space shooters make me go blind. The only games that I truely got stuck into on the PSP were MH (first game I played!), wipeout, worms, metal slug, a few TBS's and shooters. I CAN'T STAND football games...

So you logged into Minegarde, and possibly went right past the Portal page with all the Monster Hunter Portable 3rd news on it and posted this? I'd say hang on to it... they're are a million PSP games out there. Just gotta skim through to get the good ones. If you like real time battle RPGs, check out Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade. I spent hours upon hours playing that. Then I got my friend into it and it was even better cause you can play co-op campaign. I didn't like the second version though. Or check out the Socom series if you like 3rd/1st person shooters. Siphon Filter was good too. A great game in my opinion was Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. Even though the game revolves around tranqing people (you loose points for killing them), its still a neat concept with the RPG element they added. Can't forget about Locoroco and Patapon!

Also apparently Phantasy Star Portable 2 is quite good. Not played it yet but may consider it in between completing MHFU and MHP3.
