ooc: I don't think much explanation is needed, to those who remember this topic.
Losing all those pages really sucks, but I suppose we'll just have to move on. We haven't got much longer anyway, and at least we're back at all. (Or at least some of us. Let's hope we don't lose anyone...)

Encase something bad like this ever happens again, I invite you guys to this website. http://monsterhunter....php?board=15.0 That would be the RPG section of it, obviously there's a lot more to explore. (I was going to invite you guys over after this anyway.)
We (the people over at that website) would appreciate it if you guys took a look at the place. We need more good RPG players. I'm easier to find over there as well.
This RPG will still continue where it is.

Anyway,

I don't remember exactly how many action points or health points everyone had, so I'm going just give what I sort of remember. If you remember having a different amount, please tell me.
EDIT: Action points are listed on my post below.


The last thing I remember was the Rathalos fire balling Squipix, Merc and Semaj. Squipix healed I think.
Gomo, Pino and Zenelix are still with the caravan. Gomo called out to Pino.

The caravan continued through the woods, getting about as far as to where the Rathalos originally appeared. "Hey, Felyne hunter!" Gomo called out again, a little more irritable than before.

ooc: Alright, so far only Quel, Semaj and Squipix have rejoined the site, and myself.
I'm not sure where the others are, being Zenelix, Merc and Pino. Pino has been a.w.o.l. since before the crash though.

I should say, if this really starts to drag on, I'd probably get started on the next RPG.
I'd like to finish this one though, for sentimental reasons. I'd also like to get everyone back, since players are really hard to replace (let alone good ones).

I'm here. Geez... this crash really has sent things into a spin for everyone in the forums.

Umm... I'm not quit sure where I left off though as per what I was doing before the crash. I think the last thing I remember having said doing was using a potion and trying to get the Rathalos to come charging after us and land on the trap. Whilst asking for Quel to make sure that the Rathalos didn't try and fly. Sounds about right. :| -shrugs- Oh well.

Hope we can get the rest of the guys back though, but here's to hope. -raises a beer to hope-

Joshua drank his potion and returned nearly to full health. (1 A.P. left)
As Quel then ran towards the group behind the trap, the Rathalos saw him and gave chase, almost catching up to him. The shock trap however stopped the giant wyvern in its tracks, saving Quel in the process, and holding it in place for some time.

The caravan was now as far down the path as the fight was, relatively concealed by the woods. Gomo was most nervous at this part, with the Rathalos as close as it was. "Any hunter that can hear me, come here!" He called out down the caravan in annoyance, since the Felyne had yet to appear, and the other hunter had disappeared. (This is to Zenelix and/or Pino, since they're still with the caravan.)

Semaj finally made it to the group as Rathalos became paralyzed by the trap. He immediately drew his katana and hacked at Los's tail.

ooc: 4 attacks on Los's tail, evading (ofc). Sorry for tardiness, I tried to post yesterday before Merc returned, but the blasted DSi froze.

Quel raced to join Semaj and unleashed his own flurry of attacks with him.

ooc: Two upward slashes and two downward slashes followed by two stabs and a leap backwards. Auto dodge again please(only one point left right?).

Joshua stayed back and watched the two hunter unleash their attacks upon the giant azure wyvern and hide himself inside a bush outside the fighting zone.

(Trying to save the last A.P. for a potion or whatever if I need it.)

Damage to Tail: 10

I did actually calculate to see how much damage you did to the tail. It wasn't much. Remember, this thing out classes you by two tiers.

Despite the two hunters both going all out on the large wyvern's tail, they hardly did any damage to it, thwarted off by its sturdy build. The wyvern remained in the trap though, still paralyzed for the time being.


In this short amount of time the caravan made no significant progress, and Gomo still grumbled angrily that none of the hunters had come to him, turning red.

Quel unleashed a special attack.

"Unholy Flow!"

Quel seemed to get more relaxed in his movements, but he struck with speed and precision.


ooc: Mostly a mind game... Two strikes to its tail with both blades together. Downwards, then upwards slashes.

Since he barely pierced the Los, Semaj reverted back to his more unorthodox ways. He rolled under the still trapped Los and emerged near its face. With all of the strength and will he could muster, Semaj stabbed towards Ashen Los's eye.

ooc: LS thrust to the left eye. Evade. This is where I fight RPG style. 8)

ooc: Pino and Zene still have yet to sign up, and Squipix still hasn't rejoined us.
If everyone but them runs out of points, we'll continue on without them.
I might even take control of them.


I can picture Semaj rolling, sheathing his short sword, then drawing his long sword, then stabbing, all in one fluent motion. It's about time he drew out that long sword too. (I'm not sure if you're aware, but if you're hit it might be the end of you.)
With the next update, its gonna cost more to sheath/draw certain weapons, particularly long sword.

Quel's attacks on the tail weren't able to yield any damage, but Semaj was able to do some to the head with his larger weapon, just not very much, nor did he actually hit the wyvern's eyeball.
By now the Rathalos was close to escaping the trap, as it started to shift its body around.

The head of the caravan was now past the battle, but the tail was still behind.

Joshua pulled out a healing flute and played the toon to heal everyone as he continued to hide in the bush that was just close enough to the battle to heal the other hunters. "Everyone watch out. The Rathalos is about to break free from the trap." Joshua shouted to the hunters.

OOC: Sorry... sorry... I do apologize to everyone. m(_ _)m. I had a hectic time at work, due to a big project ad than the forums went... well just look at them now. (O_o)< I will try to keep up with you guys once more.

Pino woke up from his short rest, yet he didn't understand if it was due to te bumpiness of the wagons, now that some of them travelled off the road, or the cries of someone calling his name.

The aroma of earth filled his nostrils. It smelled of roots and leaves, dried flora and some hints of dried fauna, and of things tHat have been burnt or boiled. It was soothing, yet strange.

Pino lifted himself out of his makeshit bed and stumbled onto the floor. His wounds where bandaged and covered over in fiercely strong musty smelling oils.It hurt him to move, the pain sent shivers down his back, yet he was covinced that something was occuring. Something that would require his assistance.

Finding his weapon and ammo belt leaning nearby to a crate he readied himself and left out of the caravan from the window, crawling onto the roof.

The caravan was heading on an off road path...

Pino glanced all aroud him soaking in the information as fast as he could see it.

In the distance he heard the clamour of battle... Something fierce must have blocked the path for the caravan. Pulling down his goggles over his eyes, the white golden haired felyne made his way towards the clamour.

...

Azure Rathalos!

Pino staggered as he appraoched. He had heard rumors of these creatures, yet never had seen one up close. It was bigger than he could have possibly imagined!

Other hunters engaged it in guerilla style tactics, hinding from within the surronding terrain and striking it in order to attract its attention from the caravan.

It was a good plan... hopefully no one gets caught within this game of cat and mouse.

Pino pushed off with his legs and ran towards the opposite direction of where the caravan was at trying to get behind the Rathalos. Pain filled him, and he knew his adrelnaline would only hold for so long, before the pain would consume him. Yet, he gambled...

He was always a terrible gambler.

Grabbing oto the trunk of a nearby tree he climbed till he had reached a good postion high enough in the tree to be hidden by the leaves of the trees. Keeping the Rathalos in sight, he loaded his bowgun with the highest grade piercing bullets allowed to his weapon. He grinned when he heard the click of his weapon being cocked.

He aimed with precision at the Rathalos head... this was a gamble... if the rathalos attacked Pino... well lets just say the world would be one felyne short...

He pulled the trigger and fired.

OOC: Postion in tree, 2 points. Loading weapon with Pierce Shells, 2 points. Shooting at Rathalos, 2 points. For everything else there is Gastronome-Card.

@Merc: I'm gonna have to nix the health flute Merc. It would cost more than 1 point, which is all you've got. (Partly for your own good. The Rathalos might have come after you.)
@Pino: Remember you can only spend 6 points per post (which you did). However, to evade, you need to leave enough points left over. (So, no evade this time.)

The two pierce rounds struck just as the Rathalos broke free, thus missing their exact mark, but still inflicting significant damage.

Promptly retaliating to the hunters' attacks, the Rathalos swung its tail in a full revolution, smacking Quel away, but missing Semaj.
Quel's condition was near critical, one or two more hits might be enough.

The caravan was now completely past the fight, but not far.

ooc: A Felyne with pierce rounds is practically overpowered. I'll have to do something about that later.

OOC: Overpowered? I like that... I am the mage of the group, I can dish out ultimate awesomeness, but I take a hit and I am dead... as we witnessed with the Yian Kut Ku.

Pino aimed once more, and fired another four rounds at the Rathalos.

Life or death this was the felyne's decision...

Pain.

He could feel the pain begin to yearn for him.

Gamble...

Have to keep on gambling.

"Thank Deity for my ninja skills...!" Semaj murmured upon rising from his evasion. Knowing his armor is the type made for those who don't plan on getting hit, Semaj carefully backed away a step or two. Los just tail whipped, so there stands a good (ha) chance he we do it again. Semaj got low and belted forward, holding a traditional stance contrary to his unorthodox fighting method.

ooc: 2 standard attacks to the soft under belly. Evade, preferrably behind Los.

Quel lay stunned in the bushes off to the side of the path, but only for an instant. His one thought was to get away and use a Potion to heal himself.


ooc: Going to move away from the Rathalos and try and bide my time until I can use a Potion. Also I'll be unavailable from this coming Wednesday to next week on Monday.

OOC : Sorry guys! I did realize the site was down for a few days.. and was indeed surprised when it got revived into this. But I went through a lot of stuff (hard for me to say) that left me busy. I have to say, this new layout of our forums've got a sleek futuristic feel to it.. as well as the atmosphere that of an emergency tent used to accommodate natural disaster victims. Erhh.. in any case, the forums seems to recover quickly from a community point of view. This if my first post in 'Neo-Minegarde', by the way .

Healed, Qabud got up and saw the commotion around him as his strength slowly recovers with the gulp of potion he drank earlier. The Rathalos, now awake, was bent on blind destruction and revenge once again. "Not good!", he exclaimed. Qabud immediately flipped his hunting horn in ready position, and blew into the mouthpiece in an attempt to give support.

OOC : Evade on, Recovery [Med] song, which takes 3 notes and thus 6 points. Nice to see you guys again .
