In that DS vid (you mean the DSC Dual Tigrex one, right?), I did have Evade +1 to make the rolling simpler. I can do it without too, but only about 3/4ths of the time. Personally, I do it based on timing rather than visual clues, as the white corona on the roar can be tricky to rely on in the snowy mountains. I hit X just before the roar starts - I know that's not hugely helpful, so all I can suggest is taking a set with huge def to the elder Tigrex quest and just running around it, practicing dodging. Hit it to rage it, then stand close and practice rolling. With enough defence it won't matter if you get the timing wrong to start with.

It's important to remember the timing is quite different for rage and non rage mode roars, too.

Hmm makes sense, I always play with headphones so I really don't pay attention to the sound, rather the visual in my case.

Yeah white shockwave on white snow is hard to see, guess I need practice tiggy on the snowy mountains.

if for you its hard to see the white circle in snowy mountain, read my old reply in this topic... ive write a lot of way to understand when you must press X...
