Basically you get 1 code for every 5000 CAP you get. Rewards are kinda random and depends on your rank too as well per code input.
If let us say you buy 10000 CAP between 8/10~10/12, you get 2 codes. I don't get CAP besides for the one month sub, so I get no codes (especially when yen is so expensive, lol)~ =]
...I mean look at this guy... He put like about 160000 CAP (almost $2,111 worth) within those 2 months and got like 32 event codes...wwwwww

As you probably know, the fight is divided in 3 rounds.
As Taikun receives a certain amount of damage (and of course the mud shell breaks), he destroys the floor and falls in another cave (there's no area change, so it's the same area of the first fight), with the hunters following him.
The fight continues and at the last stage he starts to glow and eyes finally show up on his body. Also he becomes much skinnier... and stronger.
