Hammer can't break the shoulders, conceded. Hammers can kill Lao with more than ten minutes left on the clock. I did this once, and I doubt guns are able to do that - if you pick the Lao cannon, you trade in Pierce 1 and 2 support for superior Raw. Destiny's Fist might work, I guess. Fire S on the Weakpoint and all levels of Pierce S.

Hammers can also kill Lao with Carving Celebrity + High-Speed Gathering for three extra goes at the Lao Hvnly. I might add that the three aforementioned carves are 3% each on the Lao Hvnly while the two shoulders are 2% each.

Obviously, 3% > 2% and 3 carves > 2 shoulders. IMO, stick with the hammer.

You can use HBG with Adrenaline+2 or even Heroics easy.

PierceS Up/Luck Booster/Hi-Speed Gathering set + Narga HBG + Heroics farms Lao without breaking a sweat.
Adrenaline+2/Hi-Speed Gathering/Luck Booster + Narga HBG is an alternative if you don't want Heroics.

Just activate Dismantle[hi] and you're good to go. You'll probably still lag behind Hammers because you got too spam-happy with your Pierce shots. However, if you didn't... well..

And seriously, the percentages aren't even as precise as you make them seem to be. You should check at how those carve guides actually arrived at those rates.

Hint: They weren't taken from the game's actual code.

This is my problem with gunning Lao. Only a few times have I ended up killing Lao at the start of area 5 when gunning with heroics. How do you pierce him affectively? through the elbow or aim straight for the top? how close do you fire from? Do you bother climbing the bridge?

Becuase of all the uncertainty I just DS him with Fatalis Z gemmed in for High Speed Gathering and SSI

I fire through the shoulders with Pierce shots until they break, after which I do my best to make all the pierce shot hits traverse the back spikes.

Personally, I try to position myself near Lao's head. I feel that I'm getting the Pierce shot damage sweetspot at that range, not to mention I generally have a clear view of the back spikes.

Don't bother climbing the bridge, unless of course you're just fooling around and don't wanna delay Lao anymore since it's near death already - a point you can reach without even letting Lao pass the first area due to constant staggers.

Lets see, this is an interesting concept first of all.

1. I have life powders and if someone has hit me too often or is being a bossy mo fo, I tend to forget to press the square button...then they die.

2. I have created 4 characters for Unite and 2ndG combined, and the most recent is the only one not at G rank. (something like over 3000+ hours combined)

3. I made custom quests in the past, some were giants and minis, and even had good reward % but were hard as hell, how is this bad? Well my GC for one char is messed up now.

4. I said I'd quit this game, and here I am again playing it...and I'm getting cocky now too...oh god D:
