As many of you are discovering, we have a chat room. Some of you are having trouble finding it or getting it to work.

The chat room has been removed from the main page, but can still be accessed from the old link. You can instead access the chat through mibbit.com using the channel name #socb or through an IRC/multi client using the server irc.mibbit.com and the channel name #socb.

There have been reports of people being unable to stay connected on the site chat while using Internet Explorer and some other browsers. If you are trying to access through IE or keep getting disconnected, try the Mibbit method.

For those of you that do join us, some may find they are given a randomly generated screen name, often "mib_xxxx". Please choose a name uppon entering by typing

/nick newname

with newname being your desired name.

hey jask, chat ain't working here in google chrome, but works perfectly fine in ff

As stated, there are some cross platform issues. Firefox is the most compatible browser for it, some others may not work quite right.

That being said, I'm pretty sure I've been able to load it fine in Chrome, but I may be thinking of the mibbit.com website. Try one of the alternate methods I listed.

The chat can still be accessed through the original link or through google search as well.

i accidentally idled a few weeks ago and the bot blocked me

well, someone banned me when i was idleing, dunno what for, but i cant get on it now

as shown here:
- place themselves on Mibbit to issue and supply illegal items,
